Biography

Dr. Berger, a native of Southern California, began performing at the age of
eight in church and musicals, and continued her musical education by
attending the University of Michigan for her undergraduate work.  After
developing a love for classical music, she continued her studies at the
Manhattan School of Music, then later returned to the University of Michigan
to complete a Doctorate of Musical Arts.  

Highlights of her performance experience include singing the roles of the
Third Secretary in John Adams'
Nixon in China with Chicago Opera Theater,
and Elmire in Mechem's
Tartuffe and Dinah in Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti at
The University of Michigan.  Other appearances include being part of
Songs of
Darkness & Light: A Kurt Weill Revue
for the Theo Ubique Theatre in Chicago,
and singing mezzo roles in
L'Enfant et les Sortilèges with the Illinois Symphony
Orchestra.  Reverie is currently active as a church musician, opera performer
and teacher in the Atlanta area, including holding the position of Instructor of
Voice at The University of West Georgia.

She has been fortunate to work with and learn from artists and teachers such
as Freda Herseth, Martin Katz, Patricia Misslin, George Shirley, Joshua Major
and Kenneth Kiesler.

Reverie's musical passions lie in classical cabaret music, German Lieder, and
musical theater.
